Depending on participant needs and service availability, support may include:

- Meal planning, cooking and grocery shopping
- Cleaning, laundry and household routines
- Support with education, training and employment pathways
- Assistance with appointments and community access
- Building communication and decision-making skills
- Understanding tenancy and personal responsibilities
Who Is This Service For?
Transition to Independent Living may support young people leaving residential care, out-of-home care, youth detention or other supported environments. Access depends on individual needs, referral arrangements and service availability.

Independent living develops gradually through practical experience, consistent guidance and age-appropriate responsibility. Our support workers help young people strengthen everyday skills while encouraging choice, confidence and personal growth.
