Short Term & Medium Term Accommodation

Hope & Care Community Services provides safe, supportive temporary accommodation arrangements for eligible NDIS participants. Our support is tailored to each participant’s needs, routines, preferences and approved NDIS funding.

Short Term Accommodation (STA)

Short Term Accommodation provides temporary support away from a participant’s usual care arrangements. It may include accommodation and assistance with daily activities such as personal care, meals and routines, depending on the participant’s approved supports.

STA support may include:

  • Personal care and daily living assistance
  • Meal preparation and household routines
  • Community access and social activities
  • Overnight support where required
  • A temporary break from usual care arrangements

Medium Term Accommodation (MTA)

Medium Term Accommodation provides temporary housing for eligible participants who cannot yet move into their long-term home. NDIS-funded MTA may be available for up to 90 days in specific circumstances, such as while waiting for home modifications or suitable long-term accommodation.

MTA covers temporary accommodation only. Personal care, meals, utilities and other daily supports are funded or arranged separately.

Who Can Access
STA or MTA?

STA and MTA may be available to eligible NDIS participants when these supports are considered reasonable and necessary and are included in their NDIS plan. Access depends on individual needs, circumstances, funding and service availability.
